چکیده
aryngeal aspergillosis is known to occur in immunocomproised states, particularly in diabetes mellitus, tuberculosis, nd human immuno-deficiency virus (HIV) infection, and is ssociated with use of inhalational steroids and cytotoxic rugs. Primary laryngeal aspergillosis is rare, especially in mmunocompetent patients, with very few reported cases o date. It often mimics the pre-malignant and malignant onditions of larynx, and responds well to antifungals. This eport presents a case of primary laryngeal aspergillosis in n immunocompetent middle-aged woman, and explores the urrent pool of evidence regarding its pathogenesis and clincal aspects. To date, this represents the only comprehensive eview on the topic.

Laryngeal aspergilloma: a complication of inhaled fluticasone therapy for asthma
Primary laryngeal aspergillosis in immunocompetent patients is rare. We describe a case of a 59-year-old woman with laryngeal aspergillosis thought to be secondary to long-term inhaled fluticasone therapy. متن کاملBilateral renal aspergillosis in an immunocompetent host
Bilateral primary renal aspergillosis is rare in immunocompetent hosts. The clinical presentation of Aspergillus pyelonephritis is similar to that of bacterial pyelonephritis. Here, we present an immunocompetent patient with primary bilateral renal abscesses due to Aspergillus fumigatus.

Introduction: Invasive fungal sinusitis, though considered to be rare entity, is nowadays frequently encountered, not only in immunocompromised patients but also in immunocompetent patients. The changing prevalence towards immunocompetent hosts is due to the indiscriminate usage of broad spectrum antibiotics, steroids, and immunosuppressive drugs. Diagnosing invasive fungal sinusitis should not...
متن کاملScrotal Aspergillosis Associated with Fournier’s Gangrene in a Patient with Cirrhosis
Pulmonary aspergillosis is a well known entity occurring in immunocompetent persons. Cutaneous aspergillosis, on the other hand, has been described in cases of suppressed immunity. Recently, invasive aspergillosis has been reported in patients with subtle immune dysfunction such as those with critical illness and advanced cirrhosis. We report a case of scrotal aspergillosis in association with ...
